DENTAL TRAUMA
GENERAL ADVICE

If you have been involved in an incident that has caused trauma to your mouth and teeth, we advise you seek emergency treatment straight away. Contact us as soon as possible and book in your emergency appointment.

If there is any bleeding in the area, apply gauze or a clean cloth to the area until the bleeding stops.

In case of swelling, apply a cold compress to the area.

Speak to a pharmacist who can advise you on pain relief suitable for your needs.

If your tooth has become elongated or wiggling excessively in its socket as a result of trauma to the face, avoid wiggling the tooth with your tongue.

For bleeding that does not stop, go to your nearest Hospital Accident & Emergency Department.
